So much has happened, all the appliances are in and working, pantry shelves and mudroom cubbies have been put in, everywhere has been painted (well not everywhere, but everywhere with color--still have trim to paint), the new furniture has been delivered and we are happily using it, media room paneling is installed and stained, and so much more. It really is almost done. Did it mention it is not completely done. Oh I did, oh, sorry! We have even entertained in the house a couple times....we have good friends who can overlook things, like boxes.
Here are the cabinets with hardware: I am so happy I splurged on the crystal pulls. I really love them and love the interest they add to the cabinets.

The media room! We decided to add this at the last-ish minute of the project and it is turning into our favorite space. The floating shelves are really nice and add a masculine detail to the space. We decided on Cardboard by Sherwin Williams for the color of the walls, But most of the walls will be covered by fabric panels. More on that later. The stain on the wood panels adds warmth and dimension to this otherwise small room. It has a dark feel to it which is perfect since it will be dark to watch movies in. We are excited about all the lighting details.
The beverage fridge didn't cool or work properly. I have never been so mad as dealing with the customer service at Edgestar. Seriously, it doesn't take much to make a customer happy and telling me to google FedEx info was pretty unprofessional.
The kegerator!
The big joke in our house is that this was a kitchen remodel. It started that way, but became much more. But the kitchen, in my mind, is the heart of the house. Our lighting, appliances, countertops, and family being able to be around me while I cook and wash dishes is the most important thing. I adore our kitchen! Here are our pendants which I am very happy with!

"we" decided to add on a mudroom and I have been very excited about the space. The cubbies and doggie station were added this week. I cannot wait to be able to put all our crap, I mean, personal belongings in them! and a place for sweet Raleigh to eat. Oh the joys of being a dog!
Pantry, pantry, are you really going to be my pantry?!? We had such a bad pantry before. It was bad times. It was too deep so you'd lose all your cans or pasta...sounds terrible I know. So we had this amazing large pantry built with a desk on the other side. I cannot wait to fill these shelves up with black beans and cheerios!
This will be for our dyson and swifter. Exciting times around here...
We had our (Billy's) ceiling fan hung, fireplace mantle fixed and painted, stairs in the garage built so people wouldn't trip and spill their vodka all over the person in front of them **cough, cough, certain good friend of ours**, and had our built in bookcases wallpapered!
Furniture, oh Furniture, why do you cost so much money? We are really excited about our new furniture. Billy is really excited I went with a light colored couch. With 3 kids 5 and under what could go wrong? We had the couch for about 4 hours when someone (SOMEONE) spilled red wine on it. That someone's name rhymes with Nozanne and that someone spent the entire next day getting it out. It came out--OMG, thank goodness it came out. But it looks so good and I am really excited when I drink my clear drinks on my furniture now. Um, not kids, you may not eat chocolate and red kool aid on that couch....for now!
trying lamps out for this foyer table, not a perfect fit. need to get art first.
One perk of having a port a john outside your house is teaching your children not to even touch them-eww, get away from that. But first let me snap a photo!
The molding around the basement fireplace where we will hang ANOTHER TV
I'm taller than Mommy. That might be true.
We are getting closer and closer to being done. Next week might be it....I think it has been a lot of fun. Just don't listen to Billy when he tells you never to renovate and move into a van down by the river!
