I've been asked a couple times what is exactly in our project. This question mostly gets asked by B. He hasn't even met Steven..what a trusting husband I have!

We were going to put a bedroom in the basement and a wall up in a guest room closet, but decided not to do those 2 projects.
It has certainly grown in the past 3 years!
Can't wait to see all the before and after pictures! We recently replaced all of our doorknobs and hinges...makes a huge difference! So jealous about the shiplap! You'll have to let us know how easy/difficult replacing banisters, spindles, etc. is.
ReplyDeleteI will! I will also let you know if it really changes the look enough to be worth doing it. I don't think I would have thought to do it, but the banister is currently painted black and think it will be too dark with the darker floors. I am excited to hear you like your hinges. I am sick of the brass!
DeleteWe went with egg-shaped oil-rubbed bronze (really, they're black) knobs and matching hinges (the kind you can see on the outside of a door)...love both. Oh! Meant to mention that we have a laundry shoot from our en-suite bathroom into the basement laundry room...original to the house. Tony always jokes that having it increases our home value...hehe. I'm skeptical, but we love it because we don't need a hamper!!
ReplyDeletethat's funny about the laundry shoot. Email me a picture of your hinges and knobs. I am having a hard time choosing! oh 90's...you are killing me with your ugly brass!
